Webinar: Doing ‘more for less’ with Charity Learning
Charity L&D budgets have been hit particularly hard in the recession, but it’s more important than ever that staff are equipped to carry out their jobs well. The Charity Learning Consortium is holding a webinar at 11am on 21st June to explain how collaboration can help charities save precious resources, whilst still addressing the essential skills of their staff.
Charities are faced with the seemingly impossible conundrum of how to ensure the essential skills of their staff, at a time when their services are under pressure and L&D budgets have been cut. Wendy Stanley of The Charity Learning Consortium will explain in a webinar on 21st June why collaboration is the route to eLearning success.
Wendy, Head of Membership at the Consortium, will explain why more than 100 charities are members of the Consortium and how they benefit by learning from each other – ultimately being able to do ‘more for less’ with their L&D budgets.
As part of her presentation, she will touch on some of the Consortium members many eLearning success stories, including Addaction, recently shortlisted for an HR Excellence Award 2012; Barnardo’s, runner up in the Training Department of the Year in the Learning Awards 2012; and Hanover Housing Association, whose Learning and Development Manager came in second place and was highly commended in the Training Journal Learning and Development Professional of the Year awards 2011.
Wendy commented: “We’re passionate about providing good quality, cost-effective learning solutions to charities and not for profit organisations.
“Members of the Consortium are reaping the rewards and seeing a real return on their investment.”
Charities and not for profits interested in joining the webinar can register at the Charity Learning website.
Delegates will discover why the Consortium is so unique, and why joining makes such a compelling business argument; the many benefits of membership, which includes support to help make the most of the eLearning on offer, workshops, online training and an annual conference; and how Consortium members are reaping the benefits and seeing a great return on their investment.
