Information Transfer wins IT Training Award: 'E-learning Project of the Year'
Information Transfer has won a prestigious industry award for their work with Priory Group, which was named "E-learning Project of the Year" by the Institute of IT Training at a ceremony in London on February 1.
Priory Group is a leading provider of independent mental health care for acute, secure, rehabilitation and specialist educational services. Priory Group's Foundations for Growth programme, developed by Information Transfer, is an on-going blended learning project supporting all learning and development activity in the organisation. At its heart are 25 bespoke
e-learning modules which help over 5,000 staff in all care services across the company's 52 sites meet their key learning objectives.
The e-learning programme is managed and tracked via bespoke learning management technology, developed by Information Transfer. The e-learning also links to offline learning activities, which the learner completes locally, in addition to incorporating classroom training and other development activities.
The content and learning management technology of Foundations for Growth was specifically developed to meet the needs of carers working in a people-focussed environment. Communication, change management and launch events also helped create a user response better than the most optimistic projections and feedback has been excellent with average approval ratings over 80%.

Launched in 2005, the Foundations for Growth programme has already demonstrated an improvement in the consistency and quality of services, a reduction in annual training costs, reduced corporate risk, and a shared sense of purpose among highly motivated staff who live the corporate vision in their work.
"The project clearly identified the business needs - and then met them," the Institute's judges noted. "This is a deeply transformational project that drove key messages within Priory and achieved both high adoption rates and traction within the business."
"The partnership between Priory and Information Transfer was clearly well established and based on mutual trust," the judges said.
The IT Training Award celebrates the best the industry has to offer and recognises outstanding achievement in what is now an extremely competitive field.
Information Transfer and Priory were also awarded "Best e-learning project securing widespread adoption" at the national E-learning Awards ceremony in November last year.
