Assima and TNT Express win top gold award for Internal Training Project of the Year
Assima and TNT also win the Learning Technologies Solution of the Year Silver award.
Assima UK is pleased to announce that, alongside their client TNT Express, they won the top Gold award for the Internal Training Project of the Year Award at The 2012 Learning Awards from The Learning and Performance Institute. These awards recognise outstanding examples of high standards, best practice, innovation and excellence in Learning and Development.
The Internal Training Project of the Year Award is presented to an internal training team that has undertaken a major training project that is innovative in concept and has produced demonstrable performance improvement for the organisation.
Assima and TNT have developed a successful solution to ensure the training of 12,000 people in over 60 countries in 7 languages; ensuring users are both competent and confident in the use of 8 new systems supporting diverse business functions. Using Assima virtual cloning technology, TNT have created 245 simulations and supporting material; delivered 500 instructor led training sessions; supported system implementations in over 60 countries across 760 individual business locations.
In the awards entry, Marcel De Ma, Director, TNT Express Project, commented "The efforts of the training development team, using the Assima product, are providing TNT greater flexibility to meet our ambitions of delivering implementations on a world-wide and multi-national scale, improving our capability to schedule and rapidly cascade training of new processes and systems simultaneously in several countries."

Commenting on the winner, the Judges observed "'The impact on the TNT business is one of improved consistency and quality of training, reduced time to competency (10 days to 2 days), improved data quality, customer service and reduced overall operating costs. The solution is completely scalable and longer term benefits will increase with use. The judges believed this was an excellent exemplar of a fully rounded performance supported learning project'."

Technologies Solution of the Year
category that is presented to an enterprise that has carried out a
training project using one or more learning technologies that
demonstrates high quality and innovation and that has made
demonstrable performance improvement for the client.
