AXELOS launches PRINCE2 Agile™ - The world’s most complete agile project management solution
AXELOS is launching PRINCE2 Agile, the latest addition to the AXELOS Global Best Practice portfolio of products, which already includes the market leading qualifications of PRINCE2®, ITIL® and the recently launched cyber resilience portfolio, RESILIA™.

PRINCE2 Agile combines the flexibility and responsiveness of agile delivery with the established and proven best practice framework of the world’s most recognized project management method. The new guidance explicitly shows how this compatibility can be exploited by organizations harnessing both PRINCE2 and agile, equipping them with the required skills and processes to successfully deliver projects to meet customer requirements in today’s fast paced and rapidly changing business environments.
PRINCE2 Agile is an extension to PRINCE2, developed collaboratively with over forty PRINCE2 and agile experts. As with PRINCE2 and ITIL, the new guidance will be supported by training, an examination and a globally recognized qualification.
The launch comes following extensive consultation with the project management practitioner and trainer community at a time when agile delivery is rapidly growing in popularity. PRINCE2 already has the capability to tailor in agile ways of working, but AXELOS research1 indicated that there is a demand from practitioners to better understand the most effective ways to apply agile to PRINCE2. There has been a 10% increase in practitioner exposure to agile methodology within the UK in the last 12 months2and AXELOS research indicates that this increase is trending globally1.

PRINCE2 Agile will guide practitioners on how to apply agile methods to PRINCE2 in the most effective way to produce a perfect blend of best practices. The new guidance covers the most comprehensive range of agile frameworks of any project management qualification, including Scrum, Kanban and the more recent approaches including Lean Start-up and Cynefin.
