Leading e-learning specialist Brightwave is to showcase its groundbreaking approach to various aspects of workplace learning at a series of lunches and seminars during the Learning Technologies 2011 conference (Olympia 2, January 26th & 27th). These will focus on innovative approaches that make a difference, engage learners and drive genuine business impact.

The first networking lunch - New to e-learning? (Weds 26th Jan, 12 noon - 1pm) - is aimed at ensuring an organisation's initial contact with learning technologies is a positive one, as research by Towards Maturity (URL) has shown that an early negative experience for learners can be a significant barrier to take up and engagement. Best practice is key to delivering the optimum solutions that make an impact - and Brightwave is at the forefront of establishing a culture of quality e-learning in the UK. On the same day, the first Brightwave seminar Customer service e-learning - blue Sky thinking (Weds 26th Jan, 11.15am - 11.45am) examines how Sky transformed its induction, onboarding and training practices for their sales advisors with award-winning e-learning, halving attrition rates and raising new starter sales rates by 11% in the process. Speakers include Charles Gould, Managing Director of Brightwave and Stuart Coyle, Sky's Curriculum Design Manager. The trend towards real-time virtual classrooms away from face-to-face tuition is the subject of the second lunch - LiveTime Learning - the future of online training (Thurs 27th Jan, 12 noon - 1pm) - Brightwave's unique interactive learning channel delivering a full programme of live, webinar-based twenty minute business sessions. The session will explore the myriad benefits of the service for client and learner alike.

The final seminar - An innovative approach to compliance: thinking out of boxes not ticking them (Thurs 27th Jan 11.45am - 12.15pm) - looks at how seemingly unglamorous facets of workplace training can shed their Cinderella status and be genuinely immersive, engaging experiences. All lunches and seminars are completely free to attend, and Brightwave will also be exhibiting at stand 16 on the exhibition floor. [No booking necessary - Learning Technologies, seminar theatre 4]

Brightwave MD Charles Gould is buoyant about this exciting time for the e-learning industry: "More organisations are investing in e-learning than ever before. Whilst increased efficiency continues to be a factor I'm encouraged to see that improving the quality and effectiveness of learning is the second top driver for investment.* People can engage with Brightwave to fulfil a number of business needs and the same values pervade every experience, whether e-learning is already embedded in their organisation or they simply want to get off to the best possible start."
