Agylia’s mobile enabled learning helps Meningitis Now in the fight against meningitis
Agylia, a global leader in the provision of learning management and mobile learning solutions, is pleased to have partnered with Meningitis Now, a UK charity dedicated to fighting meningitis, in the design and delivery of the ‘Meningitis Aware Recognition Mark for Pharmacies’ programme.
The ‘Meningitis Aware Recognition Mark for Pharmacies’ - a training programme developed by Meningitis Now and funded by Pfizer - is an eLearning programme aimed at providing pharmacists across the UK with the information needed to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of meningitis, and how the public can maximise the benefits of the national immunisation programme.
Rachel Robinson, Acting Chief Executive at Meningitis Now said, “We needed a modern and innovative way to train pharmacists to enable them to play a vital role in supporting their community and provide the public with the latest information on meningitis. We also required a flexible and cost-effective way to manage and deliver the training programme.”
Agylia designed and created the range of interactive and engaging eLearning modules and assessments using the latest responsive authoring solutions. Responsive eLearning changes layout depending on a user’s device - meaning pharmacists can access the eLearning on the widest range of devices - desktops, tablets and mobiles.
The Agylia Learning Management System (LMS) has provided a powerful and flexible delivery infrastructure that has enabled Meningitis Now to manage and deliver the Meningitis Aware programme to pharmacists across the UK - a geographically dispersed audience, using many different types of personal devices to access the materials.
Rachel concluded, “Agylia has helped us put Meningitis Aware firmly in the minds of pharmacists. We are now able to provide them with the latest training and information to help them support their local community.”
