CompTIA Strategies Conference Provides Unique Opportunity for IT Trainers
CompTIA will host its 11th annual Strategies conference in Las Vegas, June 3-6, 2003 at the J.W. Marriott Resort. Strategies, the only technology-specific learning conference in North America, allows professionals interested in technology learning - one of the hottest topics in the IT industry today - to interact in a vendor-neutral environment.
The event brings together commercial training providers, corporate training managers, high school and post-secondary IT instructors, and representatives from government and not-for-profit organizations. Attendees of the Strategies conference will be exposed to new ways of reducing costs by leveraging the latest trends and news of the technology learning industry, and learn how to improve training effectiveness and efficiencies using the newest learning technologies.
"CompTIA's Strategies conference is a unique opportunity for professionals involved in IT training to come together and shape best practices for the industry," said William Vanderbilt, director of CompTIA's Technology Learning Group. "This conference is the premier event for IT training owners, managers and leaders to network with their peers and educate themselves in a highly productive vendor-neutral setting."
Key sponsors of the event are ACT, IBM, Novell, Pearson VUE, and Thomson Prometric. Other sponsors include Capella University, Certiport, Certification Magazine, Integral7, LearnKey, Microsoft, Prentice Hall, QA IT Training and Consulting, The Training Associates, SelfTest Software and Training Partner 2003.
Among the slated sessions is a discussion of how technology is used and how technology in turn influences training and education. What will be the effect on the IT training channel? Will certification programs, which helped make the channel successful early on, still play a central role? Will software vendors continue to rely on channel partners to deliver training on their products and solutions? What role do you and your business play in this future market?
A security panel features Susan Farago project manager of professional certification, Tivoli Software Group, IBM; Jack Killorin, vice president of global security for Prometric; Jeff Recor, president of Olympus Security Group; and Kris Madura, CompTIA Security+ program manager.
