Badging expertise from eXact learning solutions’ revealed at key USA learning event
The Italy-based digital learning content management business solution provider, eXact learning solutions, features at this year’s Learning Solutions conference and expo.
Being held at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista, in Florida, USA, and organized by The eLearning Guild, this major event in the USA’s online learning calendar runs from March 16 through March 18.
In addition to having the company’s suite of learning technologies products on display at Learning Solutions (at Booth 104), eXact learning solutions’ senior consultant in the USA, Bryan Eldridge, will be running a conference session. Called ‘Badges of Honor: Ensuring Badges Are Meaningful’, the session runs for an hour from 10.45am on Thursday, March 17.
“Digital badging is gaining traction throughout the learning and development space,” said Bryan. “Yet, due to its relative novelty, there are some significant adoption barriers for those incorporating badging strategies.
“This session examines how to align strategies with evidence-based techniques and multi-tiered assessment approaches to produce badges that are worthwhile,” he added. “In particular, it will cover the common questions and concerns related to the credibility and general worth of badges.”
These include common badging adoption barriers and how to address them; the importance of understanding badge metadata and the role it plays in establishing value; how to incorporate diagnostic, formative, and evidence-based assessment techniques into the learning architecture for badge offerings, and how the role of the mentor or assessor can be implemented to maximize the effectiveness and value of badge offerings.
“In addition to Europe’s leading learning content management system (LCMS), the eXact learning solutions’ suite of products includes a professional template-based authoring environment, along with an app to manage, deliver and track learning content through iOS and Android-based mobile devices,” said Valerio Torda, eXact learning solutions’ CEO. “The eXact learning solutions’ end-to-end provisioning is complemented by a set of professional services including consulting, training and technical support in the field of Digital Learning Content Management.
“Visitors to Booth 104 at Learning Solutions will be able to discover all this for themselves,” he added.
According to Learning Solutions’ organizers, “Today’s training and development professionals are under increasing pressure to deliver innovative solutions on time and under budget. Learning Solutions 2016 is all about connecting with peers who are focused on sharing what works and exploring proven methods for leveraging technology in ways that enhance learning and performance in organizations.”
