Celebrate new innovative learning technologies this Learning at Work Week

London, UKLearning NewsFiltered

Filtered is supporting workers in their personal development endeavours by opening up their learning recommendation engine - as well as their exclusive live classes - to the public for the next two weeks.

This week is Learning at Work Week, an annual awareness initiative organised by the Campaign for Learning which aims to draw attention to the importance and benefits of learning and development at work. For 2017, the theme is curiosity and creativity, making it the perfect opportunity to highlight how new innovative technology is being used to enhance the learner experience within the workplace.

Over the last 10 or even 5 years we have witnessed the mainstream emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Household names such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Email, Amazon, Google Maps, Google Translate, Satnav, Alexa, Siri, Cortana and Netflix all use sophisticated AI to personalise in terms of filtering, relevance, convenience, time and place-sensitivity. What is less clear however is whether or not this explosion of intelligent technology has been developed to improve learning practices and more importantly the way in which we train.

To tackle this, Filtered has launched a new product, globalfilter, harnessing the power of AI to deliver personalized learning recommendations. Based on an algorithm, this innovative tool is able to present a deck of high quality learning recommendations using client’s existing materials and carefully curated resources including hundreds of TED Talks, HBR articles, MOOCs, YouTube videos etc. All the user has to do is answer 3 quick questions. Users can try globalfilter.

And to support Learning at Work Week further, Filtered are opening up their members-only live classes to the public for the month of May. These highly practical, enjoyable sessions will cover lookup methods in Excel (Wednesday 24th May, 4:30pm BST) and advanced presentation techniques in PowerPoint (Wednesday 31st May, 4:30pm BST).
