6 September 2022, London... Learning and people development provider Hemsley Fraser will reveal how organisations can boost learning outcomes by building psychological safety into their L&D programmes, at the Learning Live event in London on September 14.
In a session called Psychological safety powering team learning, Hemsley Fraser’s Talent Development Specialist, Laura Walker, will examine how this premise has traditionally been applied to improving team performance and point out the difference that it can make for learning undertaken in hybrid or fast-changing work environments.
Hemsley Fraser’s session will:
- Share the latest evidence of psychological safety’s benefits for learning and the risks of not embracing it
- Show the power of work teams learning together ‘in the flow’ of their work
- Highlight practical strategies that L&D professionals can use in their learning design.
Laura Walker explains, “We know that teams are also a natural and necessary context for learning. Agile teams learn constantly, in the flow of work. We bring people together for learning all the time – for programmes, group coaching or action learning. But learning in a team is not without interpersonal risk. To learn we need to stretch beyond our comfort zones, be able to get involved and speak up.
“We understand the power of teams learning together. Our new model brings together proven strategies to help team leaders boost learning in a team context – whether it be a work team, a project team, or a learning team. I’m excited to share it with participants and to discuss how they can use it to power team learning in practice.”
