Challenges To Traditional HR-Led Learning In A Borderless World
CERTPOINT in collaboration with Charles Jennings exploring the evolving role of HR at the Executive Knowledge Exchange, Basle, Tuesday 27 March.
25 March 2012. Maria van Vlodrop, Certpoint Systems’ General Manager Europe, joins a stellar line up at the 2012 Learning Technologies Executive Knowledge Exchange when she explores the challenges faced by HR with learning technologies thought leader Charles Jennings of Duntroon Associates.
The session takes place on Tuesday 27 March 9.30-11.00 CET in Basle, Switzerland.
Comments Maria van Vlodrop, “A new generation of techno-savvy learners is driving how we approach training. Not content with knowledge pushed by central HR, these new learners are seeking information beyond the company walls. Meanwhile, organizations are working more closely than before with clients, suppliers, partner companies – sharing skills, best practices and learning. All this impacts the way companies operate. We intend to present steps to success in this new learning world.”
During the session Maria and Charles will discuss issues facing the evolving role and responsibility for corporate HR in the management of learning inside and across the extended enterprise. They will argue that traditional corporate HR models need to restructure to meet the next generation learning environment - an environment which provides the opportunity to direct corporate learning across the whole enterprise.
They will also analyze the new technologies available and share insights into the new breed of learners driving these initiatives forward.
The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion including CERTPOINT client Johanna Sadoudi, Global Learning Director, L’Oréal; Martin Raske, Director, Global Head E-learning Solutions, Credit Suisse; and Craig Yetter, Director Global Learning, GlaxoSmithKline. The panel will examine the impact of the new learning world on their own organizations.
