ADL the organisation responsible for awarding SCORM status have to ensure learning material and systems meet the demanding IT criteria required by organisations such as The US Department of Defense and NATO. Both Kallidus® products had to meet tough functionality requirements such as being accessible from multiple locations, adaptable to organisational and individual needs and interoperable across multiple tools and platforms.
This new status of SCORM Adopter comes at a time when e2train have also launched a minor upgrade release to both their LMS and Authoring Tool. For the LMS this means the ability to download and work offline on both the Kallidus and SCORM compliant content. There is also a new module to monitor and report on all accreditation, certification and qualification processes required by the user organisation.
The Authoring Tool now boasts a substantial 180-page catalogue of ready-made page templates, graphics, buttons, evaluation forms and question formats to make authoring with Kallidus even easier and quicker. In addition the package supports Windows Media Player and .asf formats as well as full packaging of content for SCORM 1.2 compliance.
