Cirencester, UK, 11 September 2018:  Kallidus and Sainsbury’s have been shortlisted for ‘Best UK Learning Platform Implementation’ in this year’s prestigious Learning Technologies Awards. The awards recognise the commitment, enthusiasm and passion for learning technologies across the world, and are judged by an independent panel of experts organised by the eLearning Network.

Two years ago, Sainsbury’s began a major digital learning transformation journey. At the heart of this programme of change has been the implementation of Kallidus LMS which supports over 145,000 colleagues across more than 600 supermarket and 815 convenience store locations. This innovative platform has had a huge impact on the organisation, creating a world-class training experience and significantly improving resource efficiencies. In the last 12 months Kallidus LMS has released tens of thousands of staff working hours back into the organisation, enabling Sainsbury’s to focus even more effort on delivering a first-class customer service.

Rob Caul, CEO of Kallidus said: “We are delighted to have been chosen as a finalist in this competitive category for our work with Sainsbury’s and we’re very proud of how our collaborative partnership has had such a positive impact on career development, staff safety and welfare and customer service levels at Sainsbury’s”.

“The implementation of Kallidus LMS has been a huge step forwards for learning at Sainsbury’s and has significantly improved the traceability, visibility and outcomes of learning. We wanted to know our learners like we know our customers and Kallidus LMS has enabled us to achieve this and deliver a better learner experience. It’s also enabled us to pioneer a self-service approach to HR and other functions are now following our lead thanks to the success of the implementation,” added Matthew Watson, Learning Technology Manager, Learning and Development, Sainsbury’s Supermarkets

Over the past few years, Kallidus has won many highly-coveted industry awards for its creative, results-driven learning projects including the Silver Award for Learning Provider of the Year at the 2018 Learning Awards.

The year’s winners of the Learning Technologies Awards will be announced at the Learning Technologies Gala Evening on 21st November at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London, where over 800 guests from across the L&D sector are expected to attend.
