Kineo E-Learning announces appointment of Moodle & Totara Solutions Director
Kineo announced today that Jonathan Newman has been appointed as Kineo’s new Director of Moodle & Totara Solutions. Jonathan’s appointment follows Kineo’s strong growth and the increasing demand for Moodle and Totara solutions in the US.
Jonathan was previously an Account Manager, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Developer, and Development Team Leader at Catalyst IT in New Zealand. During his four years at Catalyst, he led enterprise Moodle implementations for Intel, Gulf Agency Corporation, and several New Zealand public sector agencies (including Inland Revenue, Department of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Social Development, Department of Conservation, and the Tertiary Education Commission). Jonathan has also been one of the key architects of the design and development of Totara LMS.
Kineo have developed Moodle based solutions for over 70 corporate clients including Nikon, Nike, Tesco, BP and McDonald's. Earlier in November Kineo announced the launch of Totara LMS a distribution of Moodle specifically for the corporate sector. Totara is a partnership project and Kineo is one of three experienced partners, the other two are Catalyst, a New Zealand based Moodle partner and Flexible Learning, who lead the Mahara project, a popular e-portfolio tool for Moodle.
Kineo’s US CEO Steve Lowenthal commented: “It is fantastic to have someone of Jonathan’s experience and capability on board. I am very confident that Jonathan will add value to our existing team and support our growth going forward. Jonathan will lead on our Moodle and Totara solutions.”
Jonathan Newman commented: “I am very excited to be joining Kineo. It is great to be joining such a talented, experienced, professional and dynamic organisation. I am looking forward to being part of the team and growing our Moodle and Totara services here in the US. “
