KnowledgePool, the UK's leading provider of vendor-independent managed learning services, will be outlining its pioneering approach to managed learning and delivering three, on-stand, 'hot topic' presentations at HRD 2007 (stand 563, 17-19 April, ExCeL, London).

KnowledgePool provides training administration, supplier management and evaluation services as well as bespoke training programmes and learning consultancy. Its clients include British Airways, Computacenter, Fujitsu Services, the Home Office, Lloyds TSB, Merrill Lynch and Orange.

The three on-stand presentations will explain how line managers can improve productivity by using better diagnostic procedures to avoid the 'knee-jerk' reaction to training; how large organisations can deliver group-wide cost savings by utilising a vendor-independent managed learning service and how organisations can evaluate the outcomes of learning.

The 15-minute presentations will be delivered each day of the show, respectively, by three senior managers from KnowledgePool: Sam Mather, Learning Consultancy and Programmes Director; Tim Critchley, Chief Operations Officer, and Kevin Lovell, Learning Strategy Director. Each speaker will answer questions from the audience at the end of their presentation.

With over 40 years' experience in the training industry, KnowledgePool has pioneered the automation of routine and labour intensive training administration and supplier management tasks and it runs the UK's largest online 'live schedule' catalogue of 10,000 training courses.

Client employees can search this electronic catalogue, book courses via a web browser and view course details and the negotiated prices. KnowledgePool's system automates the routine and labour intensive training administration tasks involved, such as the sending of confirmations, joining instructions and reminders.

"We can take responsibility for our clients' learning needs and processes, provide people and systems to manage training activity and source learning courses and resources from a multitude of training providers," said Paul Jefferson, CEO of KnowledgePool. "This enables our clients to save money, increase efficiency, improve control over their purchase of training services, improve management processes and information, gain access to external industry knowledge and reallocate their L&D resource to more strategic activities."
