Learning Nexus Launches New Diversity Range in Response to Equality Act 2010
Leading e-learning solutions provider Learning Nexus has extended its range of off-the-shelf e-learning courses and has launched a new Diversity course range in direct response to the requirements of the Equality Act 2010. The main provisions of the Act, which come into effect on Friday 1st October, represent the single biggest piece of anti-discrimination legislation ever created in the UK, and has massive implications for all employers and employees.
The first courses to be released in the new Learning Nexus Diversity range focus on: Diversity, Equality and Discrimination; Harassment and Victimisation; and Applying Equal Opportunity in the Workplace - 'Recruitment and Selection'. Another twelve equality and diversity courses are scheduled for release by the end of Summer 2011.
Learning Nexus Production Manager, Richard Elliott, has been pivotal in the creation of the new course range and is very excited about the new course offering: "As I've written about in my Learning Nexus blogs - www.learningnexus.co.uk/blog - the Equality Act has two main purposes. The first is the harmonisation of nine existing pieces of legislation to create a single approach, and the second purpose is the strengthening of the law to support progress on equality.
"Learning Nexus has worked closely with experts in the field to ensure the integrity of our course content, and to produce courses that will help employers and employees embed knowledge of the new law and its practical implications within the workplace and continually refresh this knowledge. We have also worked hard to push the boundaries of innovation to ensure that the learning is interactive, entertaining and effective."
