Learning Technologies Summer Forum 2020: streams announced
A week of online learning collaboration, 13 – 17 July 2020; streams announced for #LTSF20.
The 2020 Learning Technologies Summer Forum (#LTSF20) will take place online, following six streams.
Professional skills for L&D: The way we work and the tools we use for learning have shifted in the past few months. And the skills required for L&D have altered too. What do you need to keep your career on track, and how best should you progress it? Follow these sessions to find out.
AI, data, analytics and impact: Data, analytics and impact are hot topics for discussion – but how do we go beyond mere words to actionable insight? Join this track to get a handle on what’s real in this new, rapidly expanding area for L&D. (Clue: you don’t have to become a data scientist overnight.)
Better workplaces: Most of us are in L&D because we want to help people grow, but that isn’t just about learning. This track explores the wider challenges around this, and the role that L&D has to play in improving our workplaces. What are the issues, and how can L&D step up?
Tools and technologies: It wouldn’t be a Learning Technologies event without a good look at learning tools, technologies and systems. From big-picture overviews to detailed explorations of how to ensure engagement online, join these interactive sessions to prep for the post-Covid-19 learning technology space.
Learning design: These sessions tackle the crucial issues designers face today – from making effective blends to smart use of video to the best use of evidence in building learning programmes. With so much now happening online, the right design has become crucial.
Learning programme implementation: These sessions are a combination of case studies and good practice guides. In particular – how do you support learning when so much is now happening online, especially social learning? And how do we make it all happen at speed? The answers are here.
Donald H Taylor is chairing the event and will also run a session during the conference on running successful webinars: How to deliver engaging, interactive webinars, Thursday 16 July, 11:00 AM.
"Webinars can be dull. It’s true. But they needn’t be. They can be interesting, productive and engaging – if done right. The trick is to stop presenting at your audience, and start working with them," explains Donald H Taylor.
In this session, Don calls on his experience hosting and coaching speakers for over 500 webinars for the Learning and Skills Group to draw out a series of principles for delivering great webinars.
The full programme of activities across rthe week is on the LTSF 2020 website.
