The virtual labs platform has, to date, supported technical skills training and skill validation for 6.4 million unique learners in critical data, AI, fintech, cloud and cybersecurity skills.

Skillable, the pioneer in hands-on learning and skill validation, will be showing its latest product improvements, partner additions and customer success stories to attendees of Learning Technologies from April 23-24. The Skillable lab platform makes hands-on skill assessments feel seamless within learning journeys, giving learners the opportunity to stretch and apply their skills in safe environments that mimic the technologies, processes and situations they’ll encounter in the real world. Skillable integrates with leading Learning Experience Platform (LXP) and Learning Management Platform (LMS) providers including Cornerstone OnDemand, Docebo, Degreed and Multiverse, making it easy to access hands-on experiences within pathways and courses while generating granular, task-based skill data.

To date, over 6.4 million learners have used a Skillable lab to build skills in critical areas such as cloud computing, AI and machine learning, data engineering, cybersecurity and more. In 2024, over 10 million labs were launched to learners to support customer and partner training, employee upskilling, certification and demos or workshops at live events.

Bringing hands-on training into the wider learning ecosystem

Docebo and Multiverse are the two latest strategic partnerships announced by Skillable with hands-on labs being incorporated into the Docebo LMS as a solution extension and Multiverse integrating Skillable labs into its Applied Data Engineering (ADE) apprenticeship program. This experiential learning capability will help learners apply theoretical learning to real-world scenarios with greater confidence.

Launching performance-based skill validation within Degreed

Within Degreed, Skillable is also launching the first native performance-based skill validation integration into the SkillsTech ecosystem. Mutual customers can enhance employee skill profile data with validated, scenario-based insights by seamlessly leveraging Skillable validation labs for business-critical skills. As learners need to complete pre-configured tasks within a lab to validate their ability to perform a skill at work, the data generated through Skillable and populated in Degreed skills profiles is highly trusted, accurate and timely. Learners within Degreed can also search for specific skills and find a Skillable lab to practice or validate that skill. In successfully completing and passing a lab that is intended for skill validation, the learner will have a new Skill Rating added to that skill in their Degreed profile.

Industry recognition

For the 15th consecutive time, Skillable was recognised as a Virtual IT Labs leader in the G2 Spring report, with additional leader badges in Implementation, Results, User Satisfaction and Value. In addition to the badges earned for user reviews, G2 selected Skillable as a Top 50 Education Software product in their 2025 Best Software Awards list.

Users consistently mention the effectiveness of Skillable’s hands-on training to complement theoretical knowledge sharing through courses, classrooms and Instructor-led training, with immersive experiences in the technologies and processes that learners will use in their daily lives. This facilitates greater skill mastery, knowledge retention and real-world application.

As one G2 user explains, “Adults learn better if they can follow a book, hear the Instructor and practice hands-on training. The success rate is far better for individuals who can do all three of the above learning methods. Skillable provides that type of atmosphere.”

Skillable was also named to the highly anticipated 2025 edition of the GSV 150: GSV’s annual list of the top 150 private companies transforming digital learning and workforce skills, plus the Top 10 Learning Systems list from The Craig Weiss Group. Authoring tool Skillable Studio, pre-made templates and Skillable’s lab creation and lab financial management features were highlighted by the analyst group. Alongside this, Skillable was recognised as a Core Challenger in the 2025 Fosway 9-Grid™ for Digital Learning

Rico Wyder, Head of EMEA Sales at Skillable said, “I am excited for Skillable to once again be at Learning Technologies showing the power of hands-on experiences within the wider learning ecosystem. As numerous customer successes have shown, integrating a virtual IT lab in your course, certification or learning environment can lead to greater knowledge retention, skill application, granular skill data and learner engagement.”
