How L&D is using AI today - and what it means for the future
At the Learning Technologies Autumn Forum, online this October, Egle Vinauskaite and Donald H Taylor share global data and case studies on how AI is being used in L&D today and the barriers to adoption.
Three years on from the launch of ChatGPT, things have changed. We’ve moved beyond being excited about AI hype to actually using it, but what are we using it for?
Drawing on their latest report Donald and Eglė will draw on survey data from over 50 countries and a series of in-depth case studies. They will demonstrate that AI use today goes beyond merely creating more content faster, and will ask a key question: what does this mean for the future of L&D?
This will be a session packed with useful insights and practical examples. It will also be challenging. AI offers L&D a great future, but it could also undermine our traditional role. How can we use it to shift L&D to a more influential, strategic position?
- Where AI is being used today
- The common barriers to successful implementation
- Leading-edge use cases and what they tell us about L&D’s future
- The transformation triangle – and what happens if L&D doesn’t change
"How L&D is using AI today - and what it means for the future" takes place at the LTAF 2025 online event on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
The Learning Technologies Autumn Forum takes place online on 14, 16, 21 and 23 October. The conference programme is available from the Learning Technologies Autumn Forum website.
