
Learning Technologies 2025: a cornerstone for the L&D community
Learning Technologies 2025 took place on 23-24 April with 11,000 visitors at Excel London exploring the innovations shaping the future of workplace learning.
Learning Technologies, the world’s largest event on workplace learning tech ran in April, once again placing the spotlight on the powerful convergence of learning, people, and technology and cementing the event's role as a cornerstone for the L&D community.
Over 11,000 learning and development professionals gathered at Excel London featuring an exhibition of over 200 technology providers and conference with 1,000 delegates and 80 expert speakers tackling the most pressing topics in L&D today.
The conference's Opening Address was led by David Kelly, Chairman at the Learning Guild, and Dani Johnson, Co-Founder & Principal Analyst at RedThread Research. Together, they explored the state of our industry, looking beyond AI, and to the technologies that made AI even possible – and how they affect our day-to-day lives.

The Opening Address on Day 2 featured Daniel J Hulme, Chief AI Officer at WPP, who focused on the topic that’s on everyone’s minds: AI. It’s here to stay, and how L&D teams choose to tackle its challenges and reap its benefits will be paramount to success. He shared his thoughts on the controversy around AI, pointing out how 'AI misinformation, bots and DeepFakes have challenged our political foundations.' Daniel discussed how we can work towards a seamless transition to working with it, and how we can encourage and maintain AI’s alignment to human values.

LT Awards Theatre
One of the new features at LT2025 was the LT Awards Theatre featuring winning teams sharing their experiences and takeaways from their projects. The Learning Technologies Awards gala evening takes place every November, and entries for this year's awards are now open.

Learning Technologies returns next year on 29 and 30 April 2026, again at Excel London.
