Learning Technologies 2025 Autumn Forum
How do we use emerging technologies for learning effectively? This is the theme for the Learning Technologies 2025 Autumn Forum; Online over four days this October; Registration open; First programme sessions announced.
L&D professionals, learning technologists, HR leaders and workplace learning enthusiasts are invited to join a four-day online event: 14, 16, 21 & 23 October 2025. The Learning Technologies Autumn Forum builds on the momentum of the Learning Technologies Conference earlier this year, exploring in depth how emerging technologies are transforming learning, what’s working, what isn’t, and what lies ahead.
The event is focussed on the theme dominating L&D: How do we use emerging technologies to learn effectively at work. Registration is now open and it's free to attend: LTAF 2025 registration.
Getting beyond the buzz
Since the launch of ChatGPT, we've seen a shift in how AI is seen: from awe to anticipation to application, although the application has been patchy. Still, AI and other emerging technologies are here to stay. How do we use them well and what pitfalls should we aim to avoid?
How can AI and other emerging technologies be used well in learning, while avoiding ethical, practical or organisational pitfalls? Which examples are yielding meaningful returns in skills development, engagement, content creation, or learner experience? What are the human, organisational and strategic enablers that make technology adoption successful, not just as experiments, but embedded in L&D functions?
The first five programme session outlines are on the Learning Technologies Autumn Forum website:
14 Oct: How L&D is using AI today - and what it means for the future with Egle Vinauskaite and Donald H Taylor.
16 Oct: Adapting to Disruption: Rethinking Learning Tech in the Age of AI, with David Kelly.
16 Oct: Unleashing your inner L&D hero - courage in uncertain times, with Laura Overton.
21 Oct: The learning experience architect: hybrid, human and agent, with Lori Niles-Hofmann.
23 Oct: Think smarter, act faster: critical thinking in the age of AI, with Martin Couzins.
