What is ISO?
The International Organisation of Standardisation (ISO) published its first recommendation in 1951, and since then it has established itself as the world’s leading independent flagbearer of international standards. The requirements it sets relate to anything from specific products to services and systems, and exist to uphold definitive benchmarks for ‘quality, safety and efficiency’.
ISO 9001 and 14001
Two of its most well-known and coveted standards are ISO 9001 – the quality management system standard – and ISO 14001 – environmental standard. For any business, these standards represent a dedication to work to the best possible globally-recognized standards of quality, excellence and respect for the environment in which we live and work.

ISO 14001
ISO 14001 is one of the most widely recognized Environmental Management Systems Certifications available. By completing ISO 14001 certification organizations can assure their stakeholders that their environmental management system (EMS) meets international industry-specific environmental standards.
