LINE Communications will be hosting a practical workshop, ‘Make Mobile Learning and Communications Work for your Organisation’ on Tuesday the 16th of April at the Royal Institution of Great Britain.

The workshop, which is due to be attended by a range of senior L&D professionals, will assess the impact mobile is having on the L&D function, highlight the key opportunities, and lay out a framework for understanding and working with this new channel.

The event will be opened by LINE’s CEO Piers Lea, who is an influential and experienced spokesperson for the industry. Client speaker, Laura Overton, Managing Director at Towards Maturity, will be drawing on the results of their 2012 Benchmark Survey and taking a look at some of the characteristics of top learning companies from the benchmark.

Steve Barden, Lead Consultant and Katie Hart, Usability and Information Architect will lead and facilitate a practical working session based around the key decisions to creating effective mobile programmes. The session will look at the eight areas learning designers need to consider to ensure mobile programmes add bottom line value and will address how to tackle the conversion of existing legacy content and how to create new programmes for a specific target audience.
