MicroLearn Explains the New Data Protection Regulations
In 2016, it was announced that the Data Protection Act would be replaced by the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) in May 2018. To help organisations understand the implications of this, MicroLearn developed a new transitional course which launched this week.
The course was developed following a request from one of MicroLearn’s partners, and is designed to help organisations understand the impact of the new regulations.
‘The GDPR marks a big change in Data Protection within Europe,’ said Alison Soper, Creative Director, ‘as it’s the first time in 20 years all data protection regulations have been revised.’
‘That’s why we felt it was important for MicroLearn to get involved as every business will need to be prepared for the changes and our course can help with that.’
How the regulations differ from the current Data Protection Act, who they affect and the impact of Brexit for UK based businesses are all key points the course addresses.
The company is now focused on updating their current Data Protection range, which will be relaunched when the regulations come into effect on May 25, 2018.
