Pearson VUE to Deliver New iSQI IT Certification Exams

PEARSON VUE has been chosen by the International Software Quality Institute (iSQI GmbH) for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) delivery for its internationally recognised certification exams, with an initial three-year contract.
The iSQI is a leading provider of certification examinations all over the world. Focusing on IT professions, iSQI plays a large role in certifying the know-how of professionals in 40 countries on six continents. Three quarters of the German DAX 30 companies rely on iSQI’s expertise.
The first two exams, to be published in November 2009 and delivered within the Pearson VUE Authorised Test Centre network worldwide, are ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level English and ISTQB Advanced Level Test Management English.
These will be closely followed by the IREB Foundation Level English exam. This exam uses a complex scoring methodology, for which Pearson VUE has developed a bespoke scoring mechanism.
The testing programme is expected to test at least 3,000 candidates per year, but that number is expected to rise as more exams become available. An extensive list of other levels of Certified Tester and other Software Testing and Engineering exams will be published over a staggered timeframe, to be agreed by Pearson VUE and iSQI.
