Pearson VUE opens Dubai office and appoints local Arabic-speaking team
Pearson VUE, the leader in computer-based testing, has joined fellow Pearson business, Pearson Education, in opening an office in Dubai to meet the Middle East's increasing demand for e-assessment.
Pearson VUE chose Dubai as its regional hub in order to best serve the needs of its clients in the Middle East. The provision of a localised office with knowledgeable Arabic-speaking staff will ensure Pearson VUE clients benefit from improved accessibility and more personal relationships.
A number of companies operating in the ever-progressing regulatory and certification markets in the Middle East are benefitting from Pearson VUE’s track record of delivering cost effective, easy to deploy and flexible testing solutions. This has enabled Pearson VUE to enjoy continued success in 2010, signing a series of major contracts with clients based in the UAE, Egypt, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, as it now plans to expand its operations across the entire region. Local clients include the Roads and Transport Authority for Dubai and the Health Authority – Abu Dhabi, while regional clients include the General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions, the African Society for Quality Healthcare, Fortress and Batterjee Medical College.
Speaking at a press conference to announce the official office opening in Dubai, Suzana Lopes, Pearson VUE, VP EMEA Sales and Marketing, said:
