Social media? Mobile technology? Serious gaming? The future of certification? All big questions which Pearson VUE will answer when it addresses awarding bodies and assessment experts at this year's European Association of Test Publishers (E-ATP) Conference.

Computer-based testing, though still relatively new across Europe, has already established itself as a superior alternative to the traditional method of pen and paper. Now certification and awarding bodies are looking to understand and utilise the latest digital platforms to enhance the delivery, reach and promotion of their exams - with the industry's flagship European event providing the perfect platform.

Held in Prague, Czech Republic, from 28 to 30 September 2011, this year's conference will enable attendees to discover the latest advances in assessment, share practices and form new business relationships.

With its experts and partners set to cover an array of topics, the Pearson business is planning its most dynamic presence at the annual event yet. Having once again secured the prestige of being a gold sponsor, Pearson VUE is set to take centre stage to discuss topics such as assessing potential, medical selection testing and certification opportunities in the coming decade.

This year's programme, which is based on the streams of Talent, Technology & Innovation and Best Practice, will welcome a diverse range of delegates and speakers. Those expected at the conference include representatives of Ministries of Education, test publishers, awarding bodies, curriculum authorities, policymakers and organisations responsible for testing candidates' skills, competencies and knowledge.

Gary Gates, Senior Vice President, Global Business, said:
"The E-ATP Conference is now a key date for assessment professionals. Europe is switching on to computer-based testing and many of our European clients are even looking to more innovative solutions, such as delivering practical tests via tablets, and E-ATP is the perfect showcase for innovation."

Pearson VUE remains the most successful computer-based testing provider in the world and delivers the largest computer-based test. The Driving Standards Agency's (DSA) Driving Theory Test is administered to approximately 1.6 million candidates annually throughout Great Britain.
