Hands-on workshop with world SharePoint leaders
QA, Training Company of the Year 2005, is hosting a second exclusive SharePoint Summit with Todd Bleeker and Bill English, world authorities on the technology.
Starting on 17 October 2005, the latest SharePoint Summit provides two hands-on workshops, catering for both administrators and developers. The five-day courses are being held as part of the QA Academy Technical Summit series in Ascot, Berkshire. Over the course of the week, the authors of 'SharePoint Products and Technologies Resource Kit' will cover everything from what SharePoint will and won’t do, through to suggesting solutions for specific problems.
Bill English, MVP, and author of eight books on SharePoint, will present the Administrator level workshop, covering the skills required to design, deploy and manage a Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 implementation. Todd Bleeker will look at SharePoint from a developer’s point-of-view, providing an in-depth, technical awareness of the product and its uses, including how to alter the underpinnings and exploit Windows SharePoint Services and SharePoint Portal Server 2003.
Chief Technologist at QA and MVP, Thomas Lee, explains: "As a tool, SharePoint can give significant benefits if implemented properly, and can really jump start collaboration within a business. Allowing staff to work more closely together by allowing simple and straightforward access to shared information, as well as creating an effective storage system, the technology brings together the best of Microsoft’s solutions to aid business collaboration. By coming along to these workshops, delegates can get a head start to make sure their business is getting the most from this technology."
