QA launches new ePortfolio
QA, Training Company of the Year 2005, has launched an innovative electronic Portfolio to allow learners and managers to create customised learning schedules.
Using the very latest in Microsoft .NET technology, the downloadable ePortfolio is dynamically updated to ensure that up-to-the-minute information is available to QA customers. Drawing upon QA’s wide range of learning opportunities, and giving a full view of all the courses available in the newly launched Autumn training agenda, the ePortfolio allows those visiting QA’s website to feel confident that they are accessing the very latest training.
To help delegates and training managers alike to plan skills development, the ePortfolio combines QA’s course data with its innovative SkillsPaths – flowcharts outlining learning paths for progression in each subject area – to allow an end-to-end learning progression.
Marketing and PR manager for QA, Leah McTaggart, explains the advantages; "The ePortfolio provides real-time course information and customised content to suit specific learning requirements. This allows both learners and managers to place the available courses in the context of their wider training development plan. We also understand how important it is for delegates to attend a course at the right level to build on their existing skills, so course outlines and pre-requisite requirements are also available to make selection easier.
"The ePortfolio is an up-to-the-minute way to access the information needed to plan future development, for both businesses and individuals. The current business landscape means it’s of ever greater importance to ensure that training is both timely and targeted. Giving greater access to the learning opportunities available at QA is an important part of making sure that our customers are able to make the most of both their existing knowledge and their training budgets to achieve this goal."
The ePortfolio gives QA customers the flexibility to access course information in a number of formats, as it can be downloaded and saved to a PC for easy and quick access, or it can be printed and used alongside the Autumn training agenda. Learners can create their own personalised portfolio for specific areas, which can then be saved for ease of reference, complementing the QA website and printed training agenda.
