Customers gain essential business skills to complement technical expertise: In response to significant market demand for business skills training, QA InterQuad has launched a new portfolio of management and personal development courses.

Research across the technology industry highlights a serious shortage of the business skills that are essential to personal and business success in today’s market. The new courses cover areas such as people management, personal development and management communications and will help companies ensure that their people have the business skills that will make them most effective in the workplace.

Managing Director at QA InterQuad, John Kauffman, explains; "A recent survey showed that over 80% of our customers believe there to be a shortage of business skills in the technology industry. Companies often focus on technical capability, without considering whether these skills are supported by the management and personal development skills that will ultimately strengthen the performance of the individuals and the organisation.

"Through our recent acquisition of QA, we are now able to offer our customers an extensive range of the ‘softer’ skills that will enable organisations to build strong teams and effective individuals, from senior management to junior employees. The portfolio has been developed to meet the needs of both technical and non-technical audiences and focuses on practical skills and real workplace scenarios. With over twenty courses covering subjects such as negotiation skills, managing change and leading technical teams, the programme will provide our customers with the opportunity to improve the skills, knowledge and attitudes of their people through targeted training."

By developing skills that can immediately be applied on return to the workplace the courses aim to provide strong return on investment, and can be tailored to meet specific business requirements or delivered as part of a bespoke learning programme. Delivered by QA InterQuad’s skilled instructors, the courses include practical examples for use of the skills and techniques, as well as allowing attendees to learn from the experiences of others.

With new courses in the five core skills areas of People Management, Personal Development, Management Communications, Business Transformation, and Financial Skills already running across QA InterQuad’s network of twenty training centres, places are filling fast.
