Dave has been working collaboratively with Microsoft's UK Deployment Centre of Excellence (COE) and other Microsoft partners to share expertise and understand best practices and methodologies around deployment of Windows Vista. "Our relationship with our partners is critical for taking our messages to a wider audience." Says Jason Stiff, Windows Deployment Technical Specialist, at Microsoft's COE, "We want to engage with our customers to understand their challenges. Dave is a well-respected instructor and deployment specialist with one of our key partners and his input to the process is a valuable part of our wider programme."

Training and Certification Manager at Microsoft, Kim Rubbo, adds; "Dave has provided in-depth technical training on Microsoft Technologies as a Microsoft Certified Trainer for many years. He's done a fantastic job providing high-quality skills and knowledge, and the feedback we've had has been excellent. This award is much deserved and great testament to the high standards of delivery in the Microsoft Certified Trainer Community."

Commenting on his award, Dave said; "I'm delighted to have won this award and it's a great end to what has been a very exciting year. We've seen the launch of a number of new Microsoft technologies, and as part of my role at QA-IQ I've been lucky enough to be able to spend time working with them from the earliest stages. I really enjoy having the opportunity to communicate my knowledge and experience to others and develop exciting and valuable training.

"I've been delivering instructor-training sessions for Microsoft Partners for some months now, including sessions in Munich, Bahrain and the UK. The feedback we're getting from these sessions is really important as it helps us shape the training courses we're developing. We want to make sure that we're delivering the skills that our customers need to deploy Windows Vista using a structured methodology."

David Clarke, Chief Executive of BCS, comments; "The BCS awards have very quickly established themselves as the leading hallmark of success amongst practitioners in the IT industry today. As standards of sophistication, business acumen and skill in the IT world are continually developing, the role of IT and its effective management is critical across the whole spectrum of business. The cross-industry awards recognise, promote and acclaim excellence, professionalism, innovation and the outstanding achievements to which individuals and groups contribute."
