Saffron showcases its use of behavioural science and gamification at WoL Exhibition
Saffron Interactive (stand B200), will be exhibiting at the World of Learning two-day event on 19 and 20 October at the NEC in Birmingham. Attendees will be able to see how Saffron combines behavioural science and gaming techniques to increase user engagement to effect real behaviour change.
“Saffron have always been at the forefront of using gaming and behaviour change techniques in learning design” said CEO Noorie Sazen.
She adds “At Saffron gamification means much more than points, badges, leader boards and trophies. Whether we create bespoke serious games, gaming interactions within a course or peer dashboards; gamification is used with purpose and with a deep understanding of the human psyche.”
It is this approach that has led to staggering returns on investment for clients like Michelin where an independent auditor valued the brand value increase by over $100m as being directly attributable to the learning intervention Saffron developed.
"From behaviour changing games to game changing behaviour is how we describe our approach" says Karim Ladak, Chief operating officer, “we know gamification attracts learners, but we also know from experience that good learning content is the key to meeting change behaviour within a client's budget."
Delegates will have the opportunity to:
- Understand that whilst 3D graphics may make a course enjoyable, the experience has to touch emotional drivers to illicit real change.
- Learn the key requirements for content creation for serious games
- Recognise subtle psychological techniques such as nudges and peer framing to anticipate objections and handle them in advance.
- Understand why playing at being a "better me" is often the catalyst to becoming a "better me
Registration for World of Learning is still open and can be completed via the website.
