World Renowned Leadership Programme Comes to Scotland
The world renowned leadership development model, Situational Leadership® II (SLII®) will be taught in Glasgow for the first time later this year. The two-day course was developed by The Ken Blanchard Companies in 1985 and is used by thousands of leading organisations worldwide, including BT, American Express, Coca-Cola, Diageo, Nokia, and Pfizer.
The reason SLII® is so popular is because it focuses on who is being led, rather than on leaders themselves. Being a good leader means meeting discovering what skills and attitude people already have, and working with those skills and aptitudes to help them excel and meet their goals on any given task. But most leaders can’t do this because they use only one or two leadership styles, styles that often don’t match the needs of the individual or team being led. SLII® takes the guesswork out of leadership, giving leaders the tools to diagnose precisely what kind of leadership is required so their direct report can get their jobs done quickly and efficiently.
The first Glasgow SLII® workshop will be facilitated by Damon Largent, a dynamic trainer with many years’ experience delivering SLII® training around the world.
“I’m passionate about leadership, and committed to helping individuals apply new leadership knowledge and skills in their daily roles,” says Damon. “If you’re in business, and want your people to be energetic, motivated, focused on work and reaching their full potential every time, then taking an SLII® workshop could be one of the best business investments you’ll every make.”
The first Glasgow SLII® Public Workshop will be help at Jury’s Inn on 17th and 18th October 2011. The cost is £950 + VAT per person. SLII® Training for Trainers programmes are also available. For more information see www.kenblanchard.com or email uk@kenblanchard.com
