The Training Associates Partners with CompTIA’s Creating IT Futures Foundation
The Training Associates ™ (TTA ™), the largest provider of learning and development consultants and solutions, partners with the CompTIA Creating IT Futures Foundation to provide instructors for their IT Ready Program.
The IT-Ready Program was created by The Creating IT Futures Foundation, which has been helping at-risk individuals and populations under-represented in the information technology (IT) industry prepare for, secure, and be successful in IT careers since 1998. IT-Ready Apprentices come to employers with IT training and a CompTIA A+ certification, qualifying the apprentices for most entry-level help-desk, call center, and technical customer support roles.
"The Creating IT Futures Foundation is grateful for the professional and motivating instruction provided by The Training Associates in the debut year of the IT-Ready Apprentice Program," said Eric Larson, the foundation's director of external relations. "It was absolutely key that we put the right instructors in front of our program participants, of whom many had very limited computer knowledge in the beginning. With The Training Associates' expertise and dedication to helping our students succeed, we were able to boast a 95 percent graduation rate and 90 percent certification exam pass rate our first time out of the gate, which is practically unheard of in the nonprofit workforce development world."

About The Creating IT Futures Foundation
The Creating IT Futures Foundation - a 501(c)(3) charity - was first established in 1998 as the CompTIA Educational Foundation by CompTIA, the IT Industry Association. Through the Foundation’s centerpiece program, Creating Futures, the Foundation consistently provided training and certification opportunities to people who have historically been under-represented in the information technology workforce, including individuals with disabilities, at-risk youth, women, and military personnel and their spouses.
Thanks to donations of dollars and in-kind training slots, over 1,000 people were trained and certified for jobs in the IT field. However, the shortage of IT workers in the United States stands at nearly half a million people. In short, the leadership of the Creating IT Futures Foundation agreed that the foundation can impact even more lives while helping to meet that critical demand for workers.
