People Development Award for Coloplast and their Advanced Learning Environment
Coloplast celebrates the end of a successful financial year with another gong for their personal development programme and TWM's Advanced Learning Environment at this year’s Evening Telegraph Business Awards.
Peterborough-based medical appliances company Coloplast, who earlier in the year were named as one of the Sunday Times top 100 Companies to work for in the UK, have won the People Development Award at the annual Evening Telegraph Business Awards.
Former Olympic medal winner, Roger Black entertained this year’s guests with tales of teamwork and motivation before presenting Awards to businesses excelling in categories such as customer care, environmental excellence and people development.
Coloplast UK, a TWM customer since 2006 have recently migrated their online Academy onto TWM’s innovative D2 Advanced Learning Environment and while many Companies are cutting back on training budgets and L&D initiatives Coloplast is bucking the trend and reaping the benefits.
HR Director, Sam Sedwill reflected on their successful year saying: ‘We work hard to attract, develop and retain a high calibre of staff and the rewards that we offer help demonstrate how valued our employees are’.
The Coloplast Academy re-launch in March this year only proves further their ambitions to inspire and assist their employee’s personal development efforts. Staff can use the online Academy not only as a source of knowledge about Coloplast and the products and services it provides but also as a way to search and apply for formal training courses.
Asked why the Coloplast Academy was the best choice, Sam noted how ‘the academy is a flexible, accessible learning tool which provides each user with a unique learning experience.’
‘It allows staff to plan their future within the company, and to set realistic goals – and achieve them.’
