Stamp of approval from the Post Office as TWM successfully supports the single largest IT system rollout in Europe
TWM's online training website helps instruct employees from over 12,000 post offices nationwide on a new IT system ensuring a smooth and controlled switchover.
Successful implementation and roll out of a new IT system into more than 12000 branches of the Post Office is the result of a major new online learning initiative provided by The Working Manager.
The Working Manager have worked with the Post Office since 2008 powering the organisation’s Virtual Learning Centre for 2000 managers. However, the demands of Project Horizons, required the Working Manager to deploy the full flexibility of their Learning environment and support the change in branches with a fully developed OD approach.
CDs and workbooks supported the online offering resulting in very high levels of engagement by Post Office staff across the UK.
A total of 96,395 scenario based quizzes and 60,617 topic based tests were completed ensuring a smooth transition to the newly adopted Fujitsu Siemens IT software solution.
Online feedback from Post Office staff utilising The Working Manager virtual OD environment were quick to point out the benefits of the scenario based ‘simple and easy to use’ learning system:
“Having read through the workbooks prior to getting online, I thought I knew most things but being ‘interactive’ on this site has given me a clearer and greater understanding,“ commented one Post Office user.
Strategic Partnerships Director of The Working Manager, Duncan Norris says: “The initiative has succeeded in implementing real change, making real improvements in face to face interaction with customers. Transformational change has been delivered into a retail environment – a challenge faced by many major retail groups.”
TWM continues to work with the Post Office supporting its recently updated Corporate Strategy and looks to roll out the D2® Virtual Organisational Development Environment (“VODE”) to 7500 managers during 2011.
