The Working Manager’s Chris Bones will address the issue of Learning Impact within organisations at this months Learning and Technologies Conference
Professor Christopher Bones, non executive Director of The Working Manager is to speak at Europe’s leading Learning Technologies conference for learning and development professionals at London’s Olympia on 26th and 27th January 2011.
Speaking on Day 1 of the packed schedule, Chris will explore how we can be sure that the L & D function is adding value and making an impact in our organisations.
“With Learning & Development more under pressure than ever, I’m going to explore the key issue of adding value from the point of view of the business,” says Chris.
Chris has seen the learning and development function from both sides. As Cadbury Schweppes Group's Organisation Effectiveness and Development Director, he made sure L&D was “business focused” across the group. At Henley, and now at Manchester Business School and in his capacity as a Non Executive Director at The Working Manager, Chris concludes that there are two types of learning function and the only one which makes a real business impact is likely to survive.
Addressing L & D delegates from all over Europe, Chris will cover what makes an L & D function effective – or not. Why it is essential to align L & D initiatives to business strategy and how communicating this is essential and importantly how to achieve alignment.
