Video Arts unveils new multi-device learning solutions and video content at LT2014
Video learning specialist Video Arts will demonstrate its new ON>DEMAND video platform, launch its multi-device e-learning courses and offer delegates the chance to win a part as an extra in its next production, at Learning Technologies 2014.
ON>DEMAND, the online video platform for learning, gives organisations access to content from the Video Arts library of award-winning videos. The user-friendly platform lets L&D managers deliver video learning to as many employees as they like: in the classroom and via desktops, tablets and mobile phones. Learning professionals can download videos and facilitator guides for the classroom, edit their own clips and recommend content to learners. Trainers can even mix and match Video Arts videos with their own user generated content for state-of-the-art learning on demand. The platform is powered by the world’s leading video technology so learners get a high quality video learning experience, every time.
“Video has always been a beneficial tool for L&D and, with the increased penetration of tablets and smartphones, learners can now access video content anytime and anywhere,” said Martin Addison, CEO of Video Arts. “However, this creates a new challenge for L&D teams: how are you going to manage your video content and get it to learners? Our new ON>DEMAND platform provides an effective solution that lets you organise and coordinate your video content to support formal and informal learning.”
On stand 185, Video Arts will showcase its responsive design e-learning courses, which adapt to provide an optimal viewing experience on any device. Covering soft skills topics including leadership, management and customer service, the SCORM-compliant courses can be delivered via a client’s Learning Management System or hosted on the Video Arts iLearn platform.
Video Arts will run an on-stand competition for LT2014 delegates to win the chance to appear as an extra in its next film. The company’s three latest programmes, which will be showcased at Learning Technologies, are: Performance Review: Code Red (how to conduct an effective performance review); Successful Selling (how to sell any product or service) and The Balance Sheet Barrier (the essentials of financial statements for non-financial managers).
Colin Burgess, who heads the bespoke learning team at Video Arts, will be available on the stand to discuss how organisations can create brand-fit, effective and engaging video, e-learning and m-learning solutions. The team has undertaken recent bespoke projects, for clients including City & Guilds, and a bespoke app by Video Arts, for a global telecoms group, won the 2013 International E-Learning Award for the best business use of mobile learning.
“We can purpose-build content to meet a client’s need or combine their training information with our best-of-breed video content to create a tailored solution,” said Colin Burgess. “This enables clients to deliver brand-specific, engaging learning to more learners in more places via laptops, tablets and smartphones, and all usage activity can be tracked.”
On Wednesday 29 January, Steve Webster, Head of Sales at Video Arts, will present a seminar at Learning Technologies entitled ‘Video for learning: curate or create?’ (11.45am-12.15pm, Theatre 4). Using new research and statistics on how L&D teams are tackling this dilemma, he will offer a best practice approach to curating a library of video resources and he’ll provide eight key tips for those who want to create their own corporate video content.
