Virtual College is proud to unveil its new navigational bar designed to aid the usability of its online courses and enhance the learning experience for its many registered online learners.

The new navigation bar, which has been in development for several months, draws on the knowledge gained from over 700,000 previous learners. "We have improved its aesthetics together with much greater functionality.” reported Marketing Manager Peter Hilliard.

It has the built in facility to be customisable for third parties who wish to brand their own products when working with the company. In addition to this customisation, advanced accessibility options allow individual users to control how the course is displayed with the use of a new options tab.

Peter pointed out that “We have introduced many new features, including improved accessibility for screen readers and tab Navigation/Keyboard shortcuts for all on-screen active items and functions." With the click of a button users can now also change the size and colour of the text, adjust the magnification of the screen, and amend the colour overlay according to their own preferences.

The new colour coded page guide also makes it easier to see which pages have been completed at a glance for those that need to revisit any aspect of the training. Virtual College intends to implement the new navigation bar into all new Virtual College courses going forward.
