Virtual College by Netex Launches New Martyn’s Law Training Course
Virtual College by Netex has announced the launch of a new CPD-certified training course to help organisations prepare for the introduction of Martyn’s Law, the upcoming legislation designed to strengthen public safety and venue security.
Martyn’s Law, named in memory of Martyn Hett, one of the 22 victims of the 2017 Manchester Arena attack, aims to ensure that venues and event spaces are better equipped to prevent and respond to potential threats.
The new Martyn’s Law Training Course from Virtual College is designed to provide staff with practical knowledge and confidence to:
- Spot and respond to potential threats
- Understand their responsibilities under the new law
- Act quickly and effectively in emergency situations
The launch is supported by a detailed blog, “What Is Martyn’s Law and When Does It Come Into Effect?”, which explains the background to the legislation, what it will mean for venues, and offers additional free health and safety resources to help businesses prepare.
The Martyn’s Law Training Course is now available as part of Virtual College’s course library and can be purchased online.
