Walkgrove shortlisted for Training Journal Award 2019
Walkgrove’s Security and Counter Terrorism eLearning module and alternative f2f delivery module aimed at HGV drivers, has been shortlisted for The Best Public Service/Not for Profit Programme Award by the Training Journal Awards 2019.
As single source framework supplier to Transport for London for freight training design, Walkgrove were commissioned by FORS to work with them in response to an increase in terror-related incidents involving commercial vehicles. The eLearning module, also re-purposed as a short f2f event, focuses on improving security awareness including; terrorist threats, theft of vehicles or loads and the use of vehicles as weapons. To date, it has been completed over 50,000 times across 5,100 FORS operators.
The Training Journal Awards celebrate increasing diversity in the L&D landscape and recognise training initiatives that deliver substantial contributions to the success of an organisation, its customer group, community or beneficiaries.
This category looks for a clear understanding of best practice excellence in the L&D field, an understanding of the aims and objectives of the organisation implementing the solution plus evidence indicating how issues and challenges were overcome. Clear evidence of success since implementation is another key success criteria.
