The role of L&D in an era of complexity at Learning Technologies 2016
Watson Martin Partnership, the HR and CIPD training programmes provider, is presenting on leadership development and the role of L&D in an era of complexity at Learning Technologies 2016 in London this February.
For decades business has invested a great deal of time and money to drive improvement in the capabilities of its leaders. Despite these efforts, recent studies suggest that around 75% of senior managers regard their leadership development programmes as ineffective. Change management initiatives have fared little better, with current research suggesting that between 60 and 70 percent of projects aimed at delivering business change do not achieve their objectives.
Watson Martin Partnership's Dr Amanda Harris will take an in-depth look at how this crucial but failing skill needs a shake up and why this is a top priority for HR in 2016. Her free seminar for visitors to next month's Learning Technologies exhibition, Leadership development and the role of L&D in an era of complexity, takes places on 03 February in Theatre 10 at 13.30, Learning Technologies 2016, Olympia II, London.
Leadership development and the role of L&D in an era of complexity covers:
- Explore current leadership challenges.
- How to develop leaders capable of managing complex situations and ‘wicked problems’.
- Why higher levels of intellectual and emotional maturity are needed to manage this level of complexity.
- The role of leadership and the potential of transformational learning approaches to facilitate leaders’ growth toward higher levels.
- The positive and negative outcomes of transformational learning, and review approaches that can foster the former and discourage the latter
- How today’s leaders can respond to such challenges.
