Watson Martin Partnership candidates more likely to achieve success in CIPD exams
Candidates who study with Watson Martin Partnership more likely to achieve success in CIPD examinations; latest CIPD exam results reveal 78% of WMP students gained a pass or higher.
Candidates who study with Watson Martin Partnership are more likely to achieve success in their CIPD examinations than those studying at other centres. The latest exam results, published in November by the CIPD, reveal that 78% of WMP students gained a pass or higher in their September Advanced level exams compared to 69% nationally.
The results are even more impressive when reviewing CIPD exam marks for the whole of 2017. Overall this year 81% of all Watson Martin Partnership candidates succeeded in the challenging Advanced Diploma exams, a significant 10 percentage points more than those entered by other CIPD centres around the country.
Results for Human Resource Management in Context (HRC), who many perceive as the more difficult of the two Level 7 exams, were once again outstanding with 89% of candidates achieving success, and one in five notching up a merit or distinction. Nationally, HRC results recorded a dip from 74% in May to 66% in September.
Throughout the year, WMP results for Leading, Managing and Developing People (LMP) have remained steady averaging at 76% compared to 73% nationally.
Many more first time candidates also achieve success with Watson Martin Partnership. Taken together, results for LMP and HRC exams in May and September 2017 showed a pass rate of 81% for students who have not sat the exam before.
“We are delighted with these latest results from the CIPD which once again demonstrate that our combination of pre-exam workshops and regular support from a dedicated personal adviser ensure that our candidates are fully prepared for their Level 7 exams,” said Watson Martin Partnership Managing Partner Heather Watson.
“I am pleased to say that looking back at our exam results for the last four years, we have found that on average, eight out of every 10 WMP candidates achieve success, compared to 70% of students nationally, which we believe is a record to be proud of and hope to continue and build on going forward. Congratulations to all our students who achieved exam success this year,” she added.
All candidates who complete the CIPD Advanced Diploma with Watson Martin Partnership are able to attend four workshops before they sit the exams to help them with the revision process. Recent evaluation revealed that 99% of students described these workshops as either ‘excellent or good’ with nine out of ten describing the tutor’s knowledge as ‘excellent’.
Advanced Diploma candidates who follow an Active Learning route with WMP can attend nine workshops and have seven one-to-one sessions with a dedicated personal adviser to support their learning. Distance Learning and Bespoke candidates are able to attend four exam-based workshops and have 10 one-to-one sessions with their adviser. Additionally, all candidates have access to WMP’s highly innovative Virtual Learning Environment where they can take advantage of an extensive range of online resources including: structured activities, exam questions, podcasts and personal feedback to provide the depth and breadth of knowledge required for advanced modules.
The Level 7 Advanced Diploma is the most widely recognised professional qualification in HR and the highest level of CIPD qualification, providing a broad range of practical knowledge and skills. Being “fully CIPD qualified” is essential for most senior HR roles. Watson Martin Partnership has recently launched a new fast track Advanced Certificate in HRM for those who want to get qualified in as little as eight months.
