Webanywhere releases latest white paper - 'a changing game in corporate learning...are we going social?'
US and UK-based eLearning Technology specialist and Moodle Partner, Webanywhere, announces the release of its latest white paper exploring how social networking tools such as Google+ are accelerating corporate learning.
Learning has been moving towards different modes of delivery
over the last few decades. Traditional training methods often have
been associated with instructor led courses and corporations are
increasingly partnering with training companies to deliver a full
suite of seminars at their central HQ.
As this model has found increasing acceptance, corporate HR
departments have also identified the need for internal change
within their internal training departments. This has led to the
expansion of eLearning as a method to underpin instructor led
sessions and provide a means of reporting and tracking through
Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle.
Consequently, internal training departments have developed to
become internal hubs for content development and delivery with
little or no technical expertise. This has been facilitated by the
market entry of 'rapid authoring tools' that have provided a means
for companies to deliver in house content relatively cheaply and as
the name suggests, quickly.
And as companies have become more confident with content creation
and using new online channels, we believe 2012 will see the market
accelerating its move towards more informal methods of learning
content delivery, such as social learning.
