Xyleme LCMS releases dozens of new content development features in 3.9 update
Award-winning LCMS platform introduces “build your own HTML5 objects” which enhance rich interactive media development
Xyleme’s latest agile development update to its XML-based Learning Content Management System includes over a dozen new features for single-source content development and multi-channel publishing.
Xyleme LCMS 3.9 includes a new tool to allow clients to build their own HTML5 animations and interactive activities reusing content developed in Xyleme LCMS. Also included are numerous enhancements that allow global organizations to more easily manage and secure learning content repositories for large user populations.
“This new release is another important step in the journey as organizations move from a Flash-centric paradigm to a mobile, social and cloud-based content strategy that blends formal and informal learning,” commented Mark Hellinger, President and CEO of Xyleme.
Some highlights of the 3.9 release are:
- Custom HTML5 object
- Role Templates that allow custom defined user functionality
- Batch Updates for Permission Changes by Folder and Content Owner
- JavaScript Media Player that eliminates browser plug-in requirements
- User Configurable email templates for workflow notifications
- Expanded library of languages strings for localization and translation of outputs
- Enhanced Scorecard Options for Assessments and Exams
“Working with our clients, we were able to define, develop and deliver these necessary development improvements very quickly. While there are many authoring tools in the market, Xyleme LCMS offers education and training organizations the most flexible and efficient way to build content that can be personalized for individual learner experiences,” noted Hellinger.
