7Safe training helps put evil paedophile hacker away
Devious Internet Paedophile Adrian Ringland was so confident of getting away with his computer hacking crimes against the children he abused that he told one victim that the police would never trace him.
Devious Internet Paedophile Adrian Ringland was so confident of getting away with his computer hacking crimes against the children he abused that he told one victim that the police would never trace him.
Following cooperation between Canadian and UK Police, he was traced and thanks to the investigation techniques taught by 7Safe on the Certified Forensic Investigation Analyst (CFIA) Forensic Artefacts: Hands-On training course, he now begins a ten year stretch in prison. 7Safe's expert witness testimony in court left Ringland with nowhere to turn, and he pled guilty to over 20 counts.
Using practical case scenarios, the CFIA Forensic Artefacts: Hands-On course guides students through the process of conducting computer forensic investigations, from the principles surrounding the collection of evidence and preliminary case considerations to investigation of evidence left behind by malicious activity and the collection of volatile data.
Widely acknowledged as essential to the digital forensic investigators' knowledge base, the course also covers:
-Analysing and interpreting malicious software
-Working with the Windows Registry
-Creating a volatile data collection toolkit
Following yesterday's sentencing Sky News interviewed Dan Haagman about 7Safe's contribution to this landmark case. See the interview here.
