PCI Security Standard Training Course Launched as Compliance Deadline Looms
Organisations that store, process or transmit credit card payments must demonstrate compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) by June 2007, helping them to avoid hefty fines.
Organisations that store, process or transmit credit card payments have until June 2007 to demonstrate compliance with the PCI Security Standard.
Participating companies can be barred from processing credit card transactions, higher processing fees can be applied; and in the event of a serious security breach, fines of up to $500,000 can be levied for each instance of non-compliance.
To assist affected organisations, 7Safe Information Security has introduced the PCI Fundamentals training course, on which delegates will learn:
• The history of the PCI standard
• The contents of the standard: the six areas of compliance and twelve requirements
• Compliance with the standard: who does it relate to and at what level?
• The route to compliance: approaches including self-assessment and auditing
Details of the initial PCI Fundamentals course are as follows:
Location: Cambridge
Date & Time: 13th February 2007, 10.00am - 4.00pm
