Atlas talks learning technologies at NAPTA Midwest Training EXPO
Aisling Kemp, Head of Learning Partnerships at Atlas, presented a workshop on learning technology outsourcing at the NAPTA Midwest Training EXPO in Edwardsville, Illinois.
The event was sponsored by Shell and Marathon Petroleum. Representatives from education and industry including Phillips66 and Marathon Petroleum attended the two day Expo to exchange ideas, approaches and best practice in educating and training process technology engineers, both experienced workers and students taking their first steps into a career in process technology.
Accompanied by Austa McKendrick, Atlas’s Regional Manager, USA, who is based in Atlas’s Houston office, Aisling led the interactive workshop exploring case studies where learning technology is being applied to engage and help speed new starts to competence, to assess technical knowledge in experienced workers and to capture tacit knowledge of retiring workers in the oil and gas industry.
NAPTA is the recognised partnership for the advancement in Process Technology. It brings together industry representatives and educators across North America to guide, endorse and audit the process technology (PTEC) curriculum in community colleges across North America.
Aisling is responsible for learning technology outsourcing at Atlas, working with customers to develop learning partnerships tailored to address each customer’s specific training-related business and people challenges.
