Atlas, a leader in innovative learning technology solutions, won the Brandon Hall Group Gold award for excellence in the Best Advance in Learning Management Technology for Compliance Training category.
The Chief Executive Officer of Brandon Hall Group, Mike Cooke, said: “it is our honour to recognise this year’s award winners, who exemplify the commitment to innovation and excellence that drives growth and over-the-top business results.”
The Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards Program, often considered the most prestigious awards in the industry by learning, talent and business executives, honoured Atlas for the success of its learning management technology system for its MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training) and IMIST (International Minimum Industry Safety Training) e-learning courses. The OPITO accredited IMIST programme, born out of the success of MIST in the UK, was launched globally in 2011, and offers a consistent and standardised method of safety training for all personnel onshore and offshore in the global exploration and production industry.
John Rowley, the CEO of Atlas, commented: “we are thrilled to have won Gold at the prestigious Brandon Hall Awards. This is a great win, as Brandon Hall is the top learning technology awards body and we have been recognised along with some of the largest companies in the sector.”
The heart of the MIST/IMIST solution is Atlas’ UNIFY learning management platform, which enables clients to store, track, search and analyse e-learning delivery, assessment and performance. This is achieved by using FastTrack, Atlas’s adaptive learning technology, which, through pre-assessment, allows learners to address only the knowledge and skills they don’t currently possess. FastTrack then continually presents learners with new assessment questions until a 100% passmark is attained. Uniquely, IMIST and MIST are also able to benchmark these results against the rest of the region, and also against the whole industry, which represents a considerable technical advance for learning management and reporting.
David Doig, the Group Chief Executive of OPITO said: “Atlas always stands out as having the scale, the robust processes and the deep knowledge of the Oil and Gas sector to produce excellent learning that addresses its critical people challenges. The success of MIST and IMIST is testament to the continued commitment within the industry towards ensuring the highest possible safety standards among its workforce and provides the industry with a solid platform on which to build its skills base further in the future”.
