Government funding for ICT skills for post-16 learners is set to change. From August, funding will switch to a new set of Essential Digital Skills Qualifications.
Government funding for ICT skills for post-16 learners is set to change. From August, funding will switch to a new set of Essential Digital Skills Qualifications. It's a significant change. The current qualifications are aimed at IT skills in the workplace, whereas the new qualifications will build broader skills for life in the digital age, such as handling information, transacting online, creating and editing and online safety and responsibility.
Funding is decreasing from an average of £800 per student to £300 per student which means much more of the training delivery will be online.
